If you have been surfing the web any length of time at all, chances are that you have seen Chris Dill’s work. For example, the infamous cartoon entitled “Dear Penis“, based on Rodney Carrington’s song “A letter to my penis”, has been viewed MILLIONS of times on YouTube and other multiple websites who deemed the animation worthy for the masses.
Chris also completed a project for Tom Mabe on CMT (Country Music Television) which aired July 4th, 2008. Every episode of the show Mabe in America features Chris’ unique animation style with characters he designed specifically for the show. [See IMDB credits]
The History of Mediapickle
Between January 2000 and December 2002, Chris was responsible for editing exclusive Flash animated cartoons for Twistedhumor.com, a top 100 ranking website per Neilson Net Ratings then. During that time, Chris managed over a dozen Flash animators at once, assigning tasks, creating Flash templates, and guiding the team through each project.
Heading up the animation team for Twistedhumor.com, Chris helped make the site grow to become one of the most popular sites in the world, making it one of the web’s highest ranked websites for traffic and content during its run.
After the implementation of Chris’ Flash animated cartoons, Twistedhumor.com’s mailing list skyrocketed from thousands to over 1.5 million double opt-in subscribers receiving cartoons animated by Chris and the team he led daily. All this occurred within just a few short months.
Sadly, in late 2002, due to the economic impact of 9-11, Twistedhumor was forced to close its doors. However, the impact the site made hasn’t been forgotten to this day, nor have the cartoons it cranked out.
Ever since Chris’ successful run working for Twistedhumor, he has been able to work from his home studio producing and animating cartoons, web & graphic designs and development for many different clients big and small, working to perfect the craft every single step of the way.
From the moment Mediapickle was started in 1999, it has endured the years and endeared the hearts of many. Long live Mediapickle!
